A slow start

As mentioned, I have one semester left before starting on my thesis, so I am going to have electives for the next semester, one I think is going to be really interesting is ‘Media sociology’ from the University of Copenhagen. I am looking very much forward to that.

As the headline states, it is going to be a slow start on all the Master thesis related readings, since I am going to be working more during the summer break than I expected.

I started reading the book I got about the thesis process (1), which is really interesting, and gives some good guidelines as to how to tackle the whole thing. One of the things that was pointed out in the book is that it is a good idea to write a lot and work through the material in that way.

The book touches on topics like choosing a subject, academic methods, problem formulation, how to write, guidance, and how not to end up feeling alone in the process.

I am sure that this is a book that I will be using a lot during the process.

But I also look forward to reading text like ‘Managing the co-created brand: Value and cultural complementarity in online and offline multi‐stakeholder ecosystems’ by Gyrd-Jones and Kornum, which is next in line.

I will probably be changing the format in which i write the posts as I try to find the best way for me to write in a way that will be interesting for you as a reader.
